Material and methods. A total of 37 healthy cats of both sexes and different breeds aged 1-5 years were examined. Ultrasonography was conducted according to the standard technique using multifrequency linear transducer with a frequency of 10-12 MHz. The study was performed in two-dimensional gray-scale imaging modes (B-mode). Results. The alimentary canal of cats on the sonograms presented horizontally oriented linear structures in longitudinal scans and rounded structures with radial orientation of the layers in transverse scans, with a clear differentiation of the layers of different echogenicity. Ultrasonography allowed to differentiate all the tunics of the alimentary tract wall including the mucosa, the submucosa, the muscular and the serosa. The article presents metric characteristics of wall tunics of different parts of cat alimentary tract. Conclusion. Morphometric and sonographic data on the stomach, small and large intestine in healthy cats obtained in this study can be used as a basis to assess the state of the alimentary canal of cats in health and disease by ultrasound. in health and disease by ultrasound.</p>
Полученные морфометрические и эхографические данные желудка, тонкой и толстой кишки у здоровых кошек могут использоваться как основа для оценки состояния пищеварительного канала кошек в норме и патологии при ультразвуковом исследовании.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>ultrasonography</kwd><kwd>alimentary tract</kwd><kwd>cats</kwd><kwd>stomach</kwd><kwd>intestines</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ультразвуковое исследование (УЗИ)</kwd><kwd>пищеварительный канал</kwd><kwd>кошки</kwd><kwd>желудок</kwd><kwd>кишка</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Агут А.
