This study aimed to analyze mind-mapping learning techniques and identify the advantages of their use when teaching “Brachial plexus anatomy” to foreign medical students. The materials included mind maps, textbooks, atlases, manuals, workshops, and workbooks on human anatomy for students of medical universities in Russian and English that describe the anatomy of the brachial plexus and personal experience of using mind maps. A mind map in human anatomy classes was provided in accordance with modern anatomical terminologies, discrepancies in the description of the anatomy of the brachial plexus in Russian and English were analyzed, and the advantages of their use in teaching foreign medical students were identified.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Вопрос преподавания анатомии плечевого сплетения для англоязычных иностранных студентов до настоящего времени остаётся запутанным и несогласованным в связи с существенными различиями в подаче материала в переводной учебной литературе русскоязычных авторов и в атласах, учебниках, пособиях, используемых в других странах.</p> <p>Цель настоящей работы — изучить метод ментальных карт и выявить преимущества их использования на примере обучения иностранных студентов медицинского университета при изучении темы «Анатомия плечевого сплетения».</p> <p>Материалами для работы послужили исследования в области составления ментальных карт, тексты учебников, атласов и руководств, практикумов, рабочих тетрадей по анатомии человека для студентов учреждений высшего медицинского образования на русском и английском языках из разделов, описывающих анатомию плечевого сплетения. Кроме того, проанализирован личный опыт применения ментальных карт на занятиях по разделу «Периферическая нервная система».</p> <p>Приведён пример использования ментальной карты на занятиях по анатомии человека в соответствии с современной анатомической терминологией.
