Proceedings of the VI National Congress on Regenerative Medicine
Proceedings
of the
VI National Congress on Regenerative Medicine
Saint Petersburg, November 13–15, 2024
About the Congress
The Congress is a unique event that has become a platform for exchange of opinions, training of specialists in the field of translational tasks of regenerative medicine, communication between doctors and scientists, as well as for discussion of current issues of developments in the field of regenerative medicine in Russia. Its realization at a high level depends on the possibilities of support from industry, supplier and developer companies, as well as foundations and philanthropists.

About the proceedings
This issue contains mini-articles of scientific worcs, presented at the VI National Congress on Regenerative Medicine, which was held in
Saint Petersburg, Russia on November 13–15, 2024.
Regenerative medicine is a completely new field of medicine, that began to appear at the end of the last century and is now rapidly developing. Only in recent decades have we begun to understand how cell death processes are triggered. New opportunities have also opened up to regulate the formation of new cells. Stem cells play an important role in these processes — they have learned to isolate them from different tissues, grow them, multiply them and return them back. In recent decades, it has become clear that in the body some mature cells can turn into others. Little by little, we began to understand the role of regulatory RNAs that are written on the non-transcribed part of DNA, and a new opportunity appeared to regulate the processes of repair, regeneration, and cell renewal in the human body. There is a prospect of a new therapy that will be aimed not only at regulating living cells, but also at growing new cells, tissues, and structures in our body.
Keywords: regenerative medicine; biomedicine; gene therapy; cell therapy; regeneration mechanisms; stem cell; stem cell niche; cell
differentiation; physiological mechanisms of regeneration; regulation of regeneration and repair processes; cell banks; genome editing; cell death; products for regenerative medicine; biomaterials; models for preclinical research; translational research in regenerative medicine.
